flower damage
It was Lekuin trunk show and flower making day in the land of Bowjie-
Sadly the prior was not so awesome, why? Well I did my research on the crazy google and found Lekuin shirts @ planet blue in the hundreds where as at the trunk show they were marked down only to the two-hundreds hmmmmm… wtf
don’t get me wrong they were beautiful clothes but jeez give a poor artist a break, granted there is a grand dif. between a trunk show and a sample sale and for that I do understand the still-high pricing.
So flowers are in – great

This weekend was the annual Apt. 3 prosecco n’ cupcake 50% off sale hosted on Helms @ H.D. Buttercup and a small shout from the Museum of Jurassic Technology.
I did not eat the cupcakes nor did I drink the free oj/prosecco mixture and I found the sale to be a bit of a snooze fest.
Funny enuf a major chunk of the women’s clothes were by an amazing designer whom I know very well and was in fact her first seasons look book model so no need to by any of her clothes in a store… then just as I am about to take off and drink at Fathers Office I spot in a trunk the most amazing creation that I would have driven there and back two times over for; That was the “bookjournal” and it is exactly what is says – it’s a book AND its a journal!
So we all know Bowjie headbands are about re-using fabric cause there is just so much access why not make something amazing of it- well the fellows over at Ex Libris Anonymous feel the same … they have taken covers from old books that the Kindle or kids markers or time have killed re-bound them inserted blank pages and left in a few pages from the original book.
I picked up two but plan to order many more from the website for gifting days to come. My fav. has to be the elementary school math book journal.
Lastly, I’m just tickled to see another company is making genius, hand-made, one of a kind, inventive recycled products it makes me feel like I’m not alone in the world.

I just came from Downtown LA where I whipped out the hello kitty credit card and stocked up on everything I need to have some substantial Bowjie inventory.
I’ve made about 50 bangles and 20 earrings tonight my goal is 150 of each by Sunday… wish me luck
